The beginning

Where it all began

A small dining room, exposed-brick vaults and home cooking brought to Rome. Piccolo Abruzzo opened in 1974: a handful of tables, one family, and a great deal of love.

Today

The same kitchen, half a century on

Fifty years later: the warm welcome of Massimiliano and Domenica, the same suppliers from back home, the same idea of hospitality. Times change; the way we gather at the table does not.

The Restaurant

A family place,
rich in history.

Open the door of Piccolo Abruzzo and the aromas drifting out of the kitchen make everyone feel at home.
Stepping inside means joining a story that still goes on today, made of tradition, passion and authentic flavours.

Founded in 1974, Piccolo Abruzzo is now run by Massimiliano and Domenica, on Via Sicilia in Rome. What makes it so well loved is the quality of the food and of the service, always attentive to every guest.

All our products, wines included, are carefully sourced from our home region: pasta, cured meats, cheeses and local meat, right down to the fruit and the homemade desserts.
The restaurant is intimate and discreet, with a rustic dining room under exposed-brick vaults — in the heart of Rome, just a short walk from Via Veneto.
